The Deep River Woodworking Association operates a communal workshop for woodworkers. It is located at 83 Ridge Road in Deep River and has been in continuous operation for about 70 years.
In addition to maintaining the tools in the workshop and the building itself, the DRWA usually runs a series of woodworking classes for new members, but are open to the public. These traditionally take place over a period of several weeks in October/November each year. The AGM is usually held on the evening of the first Tuesday in October.
Members pay a fee which is set at a level sufficient to pay for the maintenance of the facility for which they get a key to the door. Thus the facility is available 24/7. Each member usually is allocated a bin for wood storage and a locker for their personal tool storage.
