Our History

The Deep River Community Association was formed in 1949, as a group representing twenty-nine clubs in North Renfrew. The mandate of the DRCA was to promote, organize, conduct and manage organizations for the furthering of health-giving, social and cultural recreational programs and activities and to promote the general welfare of the residents.

Today, the mandate remains the same. The DRCA still performs an essential role in the well-being of the town and nearby communities. As an incorporated body, the DRCA is the corporate umbrella under which member clubs can attain the equivalence of legal stature.
