The Deep River Original Six League is a men's draft hockey league that plays Sunday nights in Deep River.

The league has been going strong for over 15 years. It provides a great opportunity for locals and especially newcomers to town to enjoy a good skate and the 'comradery' of the dressing room. Players range in ages from 19 to over 50 and all skill levels are encouraged to participate.
The league is unique in that the six teams are re-“drafted” each season so your current opponent may very well be your teammate next season. This helps foster the strong sense of respect and sportsmanship that has kept the league strong for so long.

Having said that, the hockey is very competitive—the season concludes with a day-long tournament, with many thrilling, close finales every year.
Local fans are encouraged to come on out Sunday nights from October through February to enjoy some “Good Old-Time Hockey”.
